Our story

 

The Fröscher dog school was founded in 1979.

At that time, it was the first dog training school in the Basel region to develop and practice a non-violent training method. Back then, there were no official dog training courses like those that are now sensibly offered in various dog sports clubs and other dog training schools.

 

The next generation: Heidi Wood, daughter of Heinz and Eli Fröscher, has been running the Fröscher dog training school together with Mike Ford since 2019. Building on their already force-free methods, the two are now taking a more in-depth, pedagogical approach. A big thank you to Eli and Heinz for their work!

 

In 2026, we expanded our name to reflect our approach: what can we do today to best support and guide our dogs in the future? Future Dogs by Fröscher Dog School.

 

The Fröscher dog training school has been located near the Muttenz BL train station since 1982 and covers an area of approximately 1600 m² bordering the Hardwald forest. We can be reached by train, bus, or tram, followed by a short walk. Ample parking is available for cars.

 

A comfortable lounge is available for our guests. Various dog sports equipment is located throughout the fenced training area.
